The Library System is partnering with the Palm Beach County Food Bank will be at several Library branches to register residents for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Benefits specialists from the PBC Food Bank will assist with the application process and conduct the food stamp interview. Specialists can also help with other benefits applications available through the ACCESS Florida system including Medicaid and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). Applicants must call a benefit specialist to schedule an appointment.

Seventeen Library locations are distribution sites for the Palm Beach County Youth Services Department’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) which distributes meals and snacks to eligible children age 18 and under. Meals and snacks, funded by USDA and the Department of Education, are also available to persons with disabilities, over age 18, who participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically disabled. The Palm Beach County Library System Adding Additional Hours and Services Beginning June 15
Beginning on Monday, June 15, the Palm Beach County Library System will begin offering some evening and Saturday hours. All locations will be closed on Sunday.
Hours for most locations except Tequesta, Clarence E. Anthony (South Bay) and Loula V. York (Pahokee) Branches are:
· Mon, Thu & Fri: 10 :00 am – 6:00 pm
· Tue & Wed: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
· Sat: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Bookmobile is running on a limited schedule.
Visitors are required to wear facial covers during their visit per County Executive Order 2020-010. A limited number of computers will be available with social distancing measures in place. Computer users are limited to a 1 hour computer session per day. For your safety returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours. Members are asked to return items through the book drop or automated returns and to place items removed from shelves on book carts for quarantine.
