As a tuition-free public charter school, Somerset Academy JFK serves students from
kindergarten to eighth grade. We pride ourselves in creating an innovative and welcoming
learning space for our students.
Originally founded in 2002 as an “in the workplace” school of choice for JFK Medical Center, we
are now proudly a member of the award-winning Somerset Academy network of schools. Our
school is committed to developing the whole child; with a focus on developing the skills that are
needed to compete in the world of work; continue further education; and have the skills to
successfully interact in our community. We offer before and after school programming, and
limited transportation is available within our transportation zone (2-4 miles from campus).
Our students enjoy art, music, PE, and computer classes, in a modern, safe and secure campus.
Using Thinking Maps, our teachers establish a consistent language for learning across grade
levels and subject areas. This allows students to increase their potential with every year they
attend.
