There's More to Orlando than the amusement parks

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

After a few hours in the car and about fifty questions: "Are we there yet?" from our youngest daughter we cross the gate to paradise... One step out of the car and our five-year-old said - "Mommy this is a NICE hotel!" -  indeed it's a  Four Diamond resort and you can see it in every detail; smiling faces and the beauty of the OMNI ORLANDO RESORT makes you feel like you are stepping into another world.  Surrounded by 36 holes of Championship Golf, the Leadbetter Golf Academy World Headquarters and 15 acres of recreation, is a true oasis.

After a quick check-in, we took the elevator to our room, a room that makes you feel welcome with the perfect balance of comfort and luxury, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, a very roomy closet where we placed our luggage, to organize later.

I love when the bathrooms offer everything that you may need, I was working until the last minute before the trip and making bags for everyone in the family.. chances are that I usually forget something.

After attending many conferences in my adult life I can say that if I have to choose a place to have a conference the Omni is a no-brainer, if the signs everywhere isn't enough to find your room, you'll find a staff member in every turn until you arrive to your destination. No glitches with technology are imperative nowadays when everything is visual and everybody in the room is using a laptop or a smartphone to follow the conference.

The selection of snacks and beverages inside the conference room kept everyone satisfied, and I was happy not to miss any crucial presentation while I refill my coffee.

Upon check-in, kids receive a backpack filled with fun items designed specifically for them as part of the Omni Kids Crew program at Omni Orlando Resort,  ChampionsGate and the Omni Kids Crew coloring menu is available at our restaurants, with crayons and an Omni Kids Crew cup.  I posted a video on our Facebook of my daughter unpacking the backpack check it out https://www.facebook.com/MacKidLakeWorth/videos/995222853936124/

Catching up with the Family Fun. Days are long in Florida, giving me enough sunshine to catch up with the kids in the pool, the slides, 850-foot lazy river, featuring shooting water cannons, arched waterspouts, and a waterfall, plus tunnels, gentle rapids, and hidden canyons. zero-entry family pool or speed down our 125-foot corkscrew waterslide, splashing and laughing the whole way down. The kids' pool measures 2,156 square feet and holds 23,300 gallons of fun. The zero entry pool is great for the little ones, the kids loved the slides wide enough for two. Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate hosts Orlando’s only resort wave pool, holding more than 131,000 gallons of wave action. Mummy's favorite was the private cabana. After the pool, we had some fun and healthy competition at the 18 -hole miniature golf.

Let's talk food, at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, an array of delicious cuisine is always on the menu there are plenty of options, such as the Market Place where you can enjoy European breakfast fare, casual French cuisine, and hand-crafted beer and wine. The Zen Restaurant at Championsgate offers authentic Chinese dishes. The TREVI’S is perfect for family style dining indoor or al fresco, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves   - I will only add everything tasted delicious, but my favorite was the gnocchi. If you are craving a mouthwatering steaks go to DAVID’S CLUB, an upscale sports bar and grill or if you have a sweet tooth (like me) stop by MORSEL’S pastries.

I attended Macaroni Kid Academy last month and spent two nights at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, with my family and we had lots of fun!
