Chicco Fit2 Rear-Facing Infant & Toddler Car Seat

Lake Worth Macaroni Kid Review

I had the opportunity to review the Chicco Fit2 Rear-Facing Infant & Toddler Car Seat and I have one word for it... WOW!
Any features I have ever complained about in previous car seats this car seat had none of those with so many extra bells and whistles.

So lets start with my first concern; anytime I purchase something new with that of course comes spending a lot of time putting it together. My first WOW! moment was when I opened the box. The car seat was packaged nicely in a bag to keep it clean, I opened the bag and out came the car seat and base all put together. SCORE!

This base is amazing, very detailed, all the instructions for a proper install are clearly written on the base. Not sure about you, but I seem to never find the manuals when I need them most.  See the features for both the baby stage and toddler on the website HERE.

Overall the car seat including the base is very sturdy, extremely functional and has the very busy parent who usually has to use one hand to do most things in mind when designing the Chicco Fit2!

The car seat is from the makers of the #1 rated KeyFit & NextFit
Here are some features that are top notch (in my opinion):
-One hand ReclineSure - Leveling Foot helps achieve proper base angle in car.
-Two RideRight bubble levels clearly indicate base angel so the baby is angled properly!
-SuperCinch Latch Tightener helps achieve a tight and secure fit with a fraction of the effort.
-Made in Italy with premium Italian Fabrics!

-Adjustable and Removable Canopy
-7-Position Headrest
-Innovative Chest Clip Designed For Infants & Toddlers
-Ultra-Padded No Rethread Harness with one-pull tightener

How great is this... This car seat is "The First-of-its-Kind Infant & Toddler Car Seat that Lasts from Day 1 to Year 2!"

Chicco feels very strongly about children remaining rear facing until at least 2 years old.  " In 2011, the AAP announced its recommendation that all children ride in rear-facing car seats as long as possible, but until at least the age of 2 years. Despite those guidelines being issued nearly 6 years ago, many parents (69 percent) believe that other parents are letting their children sit forward-facing too soon – increasing the likelihood of children being killed or seriously injured in a crash by fivefold."

"Parenting is the role of a lifetime, and we all want to do what’s best for our kids. In a world where parents have endless platforms to share information, TurnAfter2 is the perfect reminder to use them in a meaningful way and to look out for each other,” said Daphne Oz, celebrity ambassador for TurnAfter2. “Knowing that kids who ride rear-facing are five times safer is information every parent needs to know, and we can be each other’s best resource. When one mom shares a photo of her two- or three-year old still riding rear-facing, she’ll inspire countless positive conversations between other parents who will want to follow suit. Our goal with TurnAfter2 is to educate parents and get them talking about this very important issue in a constructive way so we can keep all little ones safe.” *Information from the Chicco Press Release
