Lake Worth Road

By sponsor March 11, 2017

Planet Kids at Wellington is now accepting registrations for next school year's VPK program. You can apply for the VPK certificate online and bring that to enroll your eligible 4 year old child in one of our VPK programs.

Planet Kids offers dual language and accelerated classes, which fill up quickly.  I've known a lot of families that absolutely love this program. It's a VPK program that comes highly recommended by the Macaroni Kid Lake Worth community.

About Planet Kids at Wellington
STUDENTS WHO TURN 4 AFTER SEPTEMBER 1ST
"A free prekindergarten program is available to any child turning four years old by September 1st through the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program. Planet Kids at Wellington is a certified center designated for participation in Florida’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program (VPK). The VPK program is a statewide effort to enhance the educational readiness for students entering kindergarten. The curriculum focuses on reading, writing, and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten. Planet Kids maintains the required teacher to student ratio of no higher than 1 to 11 students and all VPK instructors have at least a child development associates degree or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. VPK emergent literacy training is also required for all of our instructors. VPK is offered during the school year or during the summer.

We offer a structured curriculum to prepare our students for kindergarten. Our curriculum exposes students to a multitude of learning experiences through monthly themes that actively engage each student to gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel. Our curriculum focuses on language arts, math, science and a strong phonics based program. Planet Kids at Wellington provides each student with the opportunity to develop their cognitive, social emotional, linguistic and creative abilities. Further, there are monthly field trips and an end of year memorable graduation ceremony."
